How the trial works
Every product promises to fix one named problem. the Stay-Put Suction Plate promises less dinner on the floor. the Arms-Up Zip Swaddle promises nappy changes without unwrapping. If a product doesn’t keep its promise in your house, with your child, it comes back.
- 60 nights to try any product, starting from delivery.
- A full refund of what you paid for it if it doesn’t fix it.
- A free returns label anywhere in the UK.
- Your money back within 14 days of the return arriving.
Why 60 nights? Because one bad night proves nothing, and neither does one good one. Small children change the rules weekly. You need long enough to see past that.
What counts
You’re the judge. “It didn’t fix it” is a perfectly good reason. So is “it fixed it for a week, then my toddler worked it out”.
We’ll ask what didn’t work, because the answer helps us make the product better, or stop selling it. Answering is optional. Your refund doesn’t depend on it.
The small print, at a readable size
- The 60 nights start on the day your order is delivered. Delivered on a Tuesday? Tuesday night is night one.
- Start your return by night 60 by emailing us. Then post the item within 14 days of telling us.
- Please send it back clean and with all its parts.
- A handful of products can only come back unopened, for hygiene reasons. They’re listed below.
- Return postage is on us: we email you a free UK returns label. Keep your proof of postage until the refund lands.
- Bundles and the Any 3 for £24.95 offer: we refund the price you actually paid for the item you send back. The discount is shared across the items in proportion to their normal prices. Return one product from an Any 3 for £24.95 multi-buy and you get £8.32 back; return all three and you get the full £24.95.
Start a return in three steps
- Email us. Send your order number and which product is coming back to hello@calmobaby.com, or use the contact form and choose “Return or 60-night trial”.
- Get your free label. We’ll reply within one working day with a free UK returns label and what to put in the parcel.
- Pack it and post it. Pack the product with all its parts and stick the label on and send it within 14 days of telling us. Keep your proof of postage until the refund lands.
That’s it. No restocking fee, and no “reason for return” dropdown where every option is your fault.
Hygiene exceptions
A few products go in mouths, up noses or into other places nobody wants second-hand. Once opened, these can only come back if they’re faulty. Unopened, they’re covered by the trial like everything else.
- Teethers: the Teething Mitten and the Scoop Fruit Feeder
- the Gentle Nasal Aspirator
- the Postpartum Peri Bottle
- the Hands-Free Pumping Bra
- Cups, straws and anything that comes into contact with a bottle, including the Any-Angle Straw Cup and the No-Spill Snack Cup
Not sure whether your product is on this list? Ask us before you open it. We’d much rather answer a question than turn down a return.
Faulty items
Faulty is different. A faulty product can always come back, opened or not, hygiene item or not, and we pay the postage.
- Stop using it, especially if it’s for sleep, feeding, bath time or safety.
- Email us with your order number, what’s wrong, and a photo if you can.
- We’ll put it right with a refund, repair or replacement, in line with the Consumer Rights Act 2015. In the first 30 days after delivery, you can choose a full refund.
If you think the fault could hurt someone, email safety@calmobaby.com. Safety emails are prioritised and answered the same day on working days.
Refunds
We refund within 14 days of your return arriving with us, back to the way you paid. Your bank may take a few more working days to show it, which is annoying, and sadly out of our hands.
Standard delivery is always free, so there’s no standard delivery charge to refund. If you paid £4.95 for next working day delivery, that charge isn’t refunded, unless the item was faulty or we sent the wrong thing.
Your statutory rights
Your statutory rights
The 60-night trial is a promise on top of your legal rights. It never replaces them, and it never makes them smaller.
- Changed your mind? Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you can cancel within 14 days of delivery for any reason, then you have another 14 days to send it back, at your own cost. In law, sealed items that can’t be returned once opened for health or hygiene reasons are an exception.
- Faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose? Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, you can reject it for a full refund within 30 days of delivery. After that, you’re entitled to a repair or replacement and, if that doesn’t work, a refund or a price reduction.
Citizens Advice explains these rights clearly at citizensadvice.org.uk. Our full terms of sale set out the rest.
